Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out what you may not do when using Messello. It is part of our Terms of Service. We may update it as laws and platform rules evolve.

1. Prohibited activities

You may not use Messello to:

• Break the law, or facilitate illegal activity;
• Send spam or unsolicited bulk messages, or message people who have not given the required consent;
• Distribute malware, phishing, or fraudulent content;
• Harass, threaten, defame, or abuse any person, or send hateful or harmful content;
• Infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service, other accounts, or our systems;
• Interfere with or disrupt the service, including through excessive automated requests, scraping, or denial-of-service activity;
• Resell or provide the service to third parties except as expressly permitted (for example, our agency/reseller features used within their terms);
• Misrepresent your identity or impersonate others.

2. Messaging and consent

When you connect channels such as WhatsApp, SMS, email, or social messaging, you must comply with the rules of those platforms and applicable laws — including obtaining proper consent, honoring opt-outs, identifying your business, and respecting message-category and template rules. You are responsible for the messages your team and automations send.

3. AI use

You must not use Messello's AI features to generate or send unlawful, deceptive, or harmful content, and you remain responsible for reviewing AI-generated output before it is sent to customers.

4. Enforcement

Violations may result in warning, suspension, or termination of your account, and we may remove content or report activity where required by law. We may also take action to protect the service and other users.
