Connect Telegram to Messello with BotFather

To connect Telegram to Messello, you create a Telegram bot and give Messello its token. Every message sent to the bot then arrives in your shared inbox.

Create a Telegram bot with BotFather

1. Open Telegram and search for @BotFather (the official bot with a verified badge).
2. Start a chat and send the /newbot command.
3. Choose a display name for your bot (for example, your company name).
4. Choose a username ending in bot (for example, acme_support_bot).
5. BotFather replies with an API token — a long string like 123456:ABC-DEF.... Copy it and keep it private.

Add the token to Messello

1. Go to Settings → Inboxes → Add inbox.
2. Choose Telegram as the channel.
3. Paste the bot token from BotFather.
4. Name the inbox and assign the agents or teams who should reply.
5. Finish setup.

Test it

1. Open your bot in Telegram (search for its username) and press Start.
2. Send a test message and confirm it appears in your Messello inbox.
3. Reply from Messello and check the response lands back in Telegram.

Your customers message the bot directly — share its username or a t.me/yourbot link anywhere you talk to customers.
